EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION – 7 STEPS


The quint essence of Effective Communication is referred in Epic Ramanayana. Rama describes the value of Effective Communication after listening to Hanuman who returns from Lanka after meeting Sita Devi. Rama praises Hanuman for the effective way he communicated and the impact of his communication had on himself and Laksmana.

Rama elaborates the important attributes of Effective Communication.

அவிஸ்தா

:

Not too elaborate nor too winding nor too short.

. அசந்திக்த்தம்

:

Unambiguous and clear-clearity of expression.

சமஸ்காரக்ரம சம்பந்நம்

:

Impeccable grammar

ந கிஞ்சித் அப ஷப்திதம்

:

The words used were with care and not one word was out of place. Not one word could be replaced or rephrased. A perfect choice of words.

மத்யமேஸ்வரம்:

:

The message was delivered in even tone not too loud or too soft. Hanuman did not shout to create any vibes on the listener. The message was delivered in a pleasant and unattached tone.

உச்சாரயதி

கல்யாணி

:

The pronunciation was impeccable and perfect and was pleasing to the ear. Here Rama stresses the importance of pronunciation how each word should be clearly pronounced to ensure clarity. If pronunciation is clear the words will flow automatically.

வாசம்

உறிருதயஉறாரிணி

Such clearly pronounced words will reach the heart of the listener. The purpose of communication is that if should reach the listener in the manner intended.
